Our name, Modicom, was carefully chosen: “Mod” stands for modern, up to date; the small “i” means Internet and information; and “com” translates to technology and communications. As you can see, there is quite a bit in our name.
We can trace our beginnings to the early 90’s and since then we have become one of the most respected recruiting firms in Northern California. The reason is our connections, our experience and our moxey. We will go anywhere to find the best candidate. And we will do anything within ethical reason to make the best match between an engineer and a company.
Many of the industry-leading companies we represent are concentrated in the greater San Francisco/San Jose/Oakland area of Northern California. However, as the industry has grown in the last decade and expanded outside this area, we have expanded too. That now includes Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Sacramento to the north, Pleasanton and Modesto to the east and Santa Cruz and Monterey to the south. We’ve even expanded to the Southern California markets of greater Los Angeles and San Diego.
Many of the engineer candidates we find and place come from California. But we have helped relocate engineers from all points of the U.S. and even Europe and Asia when they have the skills our client companies are looking for.
